Step 1: Create a Phantom Wallet

‍Why do you need a wallet?

A wallet like Phantom is your personal digital wallet. It’s where you’ll safely store your funds and connect to ReFi Hub. Think of it like your online bank account, but you’re the one in full control—no middlemen.

Note: With a Phantom wallet you’ll be engaging with ReFi Hub through the Solana blockchain network.

How to create a Phantom wallet:

1. Go to https://phantom.app and download the extension for your browser or the app for your phone.
2. Download the extension for your browser.
3. Once downloaded click on the extention and create a wallet.
4. Set a strong password that you’ll remember.

Important: Upon creating a wallet, you’ll see a 12-word seed phrase. This is like the master key to your wallet.

Security tips for seed phrase:

• Write down your seed phrase on paper and store it in a safe place.
• Never share it with anyone, even if they say they’re from ReFi Hub.
• Do not save it on your phone or computer to avoid hacks.

If you lose your seed phrase, you won’t be able to recover your wallet.

Keep it safe and ideally keep multiple copies in secure locations.

Step 2: Create a ReFi Hub Account Using Your Phantom Wallet

Now that your wallet is ready, it’s time to join ReFi Hub.

1. Go to ReFI Hub’s website at refihub.io
2. Click “Connect Wallet.”
3. Choose Phantom from the options.
4. Approve the connection in your Phantom wallet (click “Approve” when it pops up).
5. Complete a KYC verification, with a government-issued ID and a selfie for identity confirmation (this takes 2 minutes)

That’s it! Once approved, you’re set-up on ReFi Hub.

No need for usernames or passwords—your wallet is your secure login.

Step 3: Get USDC to Invest with

‍Why USDC?

ReFi Hub uses USDC, a stable digital dollar. It maintains its value stable (1 USDC = 1 USD), making it perfect for investments.

How to get USDC:

You’ll need to buy USDC on a crypto exchange.

We recommend using an Exchange such as Backpack Exchange, OKX, Kraken, Coinbase or Binance

Choose the one that fits you best. Then Simply:

1. Sign up on the exchange.
2. Complete any ID verification (this is standard for security).
3. Buy USDC using your local currency.

Step 4: Transfer and Keep USDC in your Phantom Wallet

After buying USDC, you’ll need to move it to your Phantom wallet so you can invest through ReFi Hub.

1. Copy your Phantom wallet address (click on your wallet, click on ‘receive’ and copy the Solana address, you’ll see your address—something like 4f3r9...abc).
2. Go back to the exchange, click “Withdraw” or “Send.”
3. Paste your wallet address, select USDC and ensure you have selected the Solana network.
4. Double-check everything, then confirm the transfer.

Recommendation:

If this is your first time it’s recommended to do a test transfer with small amounts so you can get used to the process, and ensure it arrives, before sending a larger amount.
